Calling All Angels

Author's Note: These are the lyrics to a song that I thought would go well with the "Tangled" theme. About following your dreams, and when you don't; you lose track of them.

I need a sign to let me know you're here
All of these lines are being crossed over the atmosphere
I need to know that things are gonna look up
'Cause I feel us drowning in a sea spilled from a cup

When there is no place safe and no safe place to put my head
When you feel the world shake from the words that are said

And I'm calling all angels
I'm calling all you angels

I won't give up if you don't give up

I need a sign to let me know you're here
'Cause my TV set just keeps it all from being clear
I want a reason for the way things have to be
I need a hand to help build up some kind of hope inside of me

When children have to play inside so they don't disappear
And private eyes solve marriage lies cause we don't talk for years
And football teams are kissing Queens
and losing sight of having dreams
In a world that what we want is only what we want until it's ours

Calling all you angels

  1. Wow, it definitely looks like you put a lot of effort into this poem. It has been keeping me thinking about lots of different things we need to change in this world for quite some time. I love the last few lines especially. Keep up the great work! Oh, and by the way, for your title I think you meant Calling all Angels, not Angles. You might wanna fix that.

  2. This was a very powerful and true poem that we all lose sight of our dreams and we usually give up. I wish you would have put an authors note in it because I had to read the poem twice because I didn't quite get what it was about and the author's note would have made that clearer but overall good job.

  3. This was really quite impressive. The lines could easily be put to music. As I read, it felt like there was a lyrical quality to them which is awesome. The message is also well thought out, and a great topic for a poem. Beautifully done.
