The setting in my book takes place in a medieval kingdom. The most important place that the main character; Ardwin, has been, is the dining room. Whenever Ardwin comes into the dining room, there is something important to be said. The first conversation, was conversed with Ardwin, and his oldest brother. Discussing their lives so far, and when they were both innocent swans. Living in the wild. When their evil stepmother cursed them with wings and feathers. To die. Ardwin; remembering how free he felt while he was flying. Through the sky, and over the oceans. No one to stop him. Ardwin told his brother of his wish to find their sister, and to meet her, and live with her in her never-discovered castle. His brother, married and expecting a baby, could not stop him.
The second, conversing between Ardwin and his father, was about Ardwin's wing, and his wishes to be normal. His father then lets him practice with the archer, and ride with his brother's on horseback. He becomes the finest archer in all of the land, and learns to swim. (Sidestroke of course.) And learns to ride horseback as well.
The third, was serious, it was concerning to Ardwin. talk of a "condition" floated around the village. His father, tells him of it. He must marry the sinister king's daughter, from the enemy country. And in return, the "Prince Freak" will have to sever his wing. But in return, it will be replaced with a golden artificial arm. A left arm. Ardwin is terrified, he must find his sister's castle at once. He wishes to keep him arm, for it is the only thing to remind him of that wonderful time. He must flee at once. He decides to take his best friends with him; Skye and Stephen. On a journey, to escape danger, and to fulfill his dreams.
This sounds like a really good book! You expressed your thoughts really well and was very interesting. Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Meg. I could see voice in your writing . Your vocabulary was also good. Since the title of this piece is setting, I believe you could have described the setting more thoroughly. Otherwise, this piece was good and seemed to tell me the main parts of the book.
ReplyDeleteYour right Meg. It is a great book! And thank you for the good advice Jackson. I kinda saw that too. I know that I'll look for that in future writing pieces.
